This is a real, functional samurai sword, a Tachi style, built for the serious collector or martial arts practitioner.

The blade is the heart of it – hand-forged from 9260 spring steel and heat-treated to a robust 58 HRC hardness.
It's full tang (the steel runs the entire length of the handle) and secured with two bamboo pegs, which is the sign of a properly constructed sword.

It features a 'Bo-hi' (full-length blood groove) on each side to lighten the blade and that distinctive 'swish' sound.

The blade is very sharp, capable of cutting through bamboo, mats, or paper.
The fittings are alloy, with a wood Saya (scabbard) and a Tsuka (handle) wrapped in genuine ray skin and high-quality silk cord.
Overall, it's about 40.5 inches long with a 27.5-inch blade.

It comes with a sword bag.

This isn't a wall-hanger decoration; it's a battle-ready, cold weapon crafted with traditional methods.
Handle with respect and care.
A stunning piece for display, but also a capable tool for a practiced iaidoka or cutter.
